Photos / Images That Changed The World

This is a piece I created for my Yr12 Media Studies. I was inspired to make this piece by two things. A wonderful book which hosts a compilation of some of the most life changing photos ever produced, and a beautiful song called ‘Hope Has A Place’, by ENYA. I made this piece so that it gave the viewer its immediate message. The vulnerability of human life and its intricate history. Of coarse I was unable to fit it all into a space of just over 4 minutes, so I selected, what I thought to be, the most memorable of world changing pictures. I edited them one by one to be a little more appealing. In the process, these pictures were scanned from the book and some from others. They were then cleaned, stitched (some pictures overlapped the spine of the books) and added a little more contrast to them, thus adding more intimacy and depth. Note I made this piece so that each photograph appears in sync with the music, adding more emotion. I hope you enjoy my work, and don’t forget to add a comment!
